The New Zealand Sikh Youth successfully held its 2025 Annual General Assembly on Sunday, 20 July 2025, at the Takanini Community Hub from 12 pm to 2 pm.

During the Assembly, members reviewed and approved proposed amendments to the New Zealand Sikh Youth Constitution. A significant amendment passed was the removal of the mandatory constitutional position of Vice President.

To support the Executive Committee, the Assembly approved the establishment of the following subcommittees:

• Events and Operations led by Harmanjot Singh

• Finance and Funding led by Jind Kaur

• Marketing and Communication led by Karenjot Kaur

• Bhujang (a division for under 18s) led by Rajwant Kaur Sidhu

These subcommittees will support the implementation of New Zealand Sikh Youth’s strategic objectives, strengthen community engagement and contribute to the effective planning and delivery of programmes and initiatives throughout the term.
